"THE HAPPY SHOW!" AS SEEN ON THE BBC!!

"What the fudge sticks," you ask? "Matt Hawes and his bloody puppet, Happy on the bleedin' BBC?"

YES! In July of 2007, Matt & Happy appeared on the BBC-1 program named "Panorama"! This happened as a result of a very silly spoof that Matt produced after footage of an irate "Panorama" investigative reporter John Sweeney hit the internet, via YouTube.

Sweeney was sent to investigate the Church of Scientology. During the course of his investigation,
Sweeney lost his temper and went on a rant against the spokesperson for that church, and the church soon distributed the video on the Web. It made headline news around the world.

Now, Matt & Happy don't have a public stance about any religion or group, and frankly had no intention of weighing in on that aspect of this story. But, the footage of Sweeney practically bursting like a bombshell was just too insane and ripe for parody, and that is what Matt & Happy did! Click HERE to view that spoof!

It wasn't long after the parody video was available for viewing on the Net that Matt & Happy were contacted by a producer from "Panorama" named Pervez Khan. Mr. Khan explained that "Panorama" was doing a follow-up on the media story surrounding Sweeney's outburst, and asked to interview Matt & Happy for the news segment. Matt & Happy agreed to the interview and it was aired on PANORAMA on July 16, 2007 in the UK!

Thanks to SoEmoChris and SMatthias of YouTube, Two great friends from the UK who recorded and posted the segment from the July 16, 2007 "Panorama" episode!
