Comic Zombies!!
That's right, I, Matthew Hawes, owner and operator of Evansville Indiana's COMICS UNLIMITED am a comic book ZOMBIE!!!
"LIVING WITH ZOMBIES" is an independent comic book series created by C. Matthew Billman and Christopher Herndon.
LWZ is the story of two friends named Matt and Chris (based on the creators) who are caught up in comic misadventures after one day discovering that everyone else in their hometown of Evansville -- And seemingly the world -- has been turned into mindless, evil zombies.

To this dopey duo, the zombie apocalypse is the beginning of the fullfillment of their wildest dreams. They set out to go on a zombie-killin' spree, in the meantime, raiding local comic shops for four-color goodie loot, being chased by religious nuts, and dealing with the U.S. military. It wasn't long after that the strip had been picked up by Frightworld studios which published the original mature readers comic book version of LWZ. Distributed through Diamond Comic Publishers and promoted at many, many comic conventions, LWZ began to reach an ever-expanding audience that spans the globe. It has been building a loyal cult following from the US to Germany, from Scotland to the Australian outback, and everywhere in between, with new fans joining the fun all the time! WIZARD magazine listed "LIVING WITH ZOMBIES" among the Top 50 Independent comics in 2007, and the magazine has featured the series in feature articles twice! |
The fine fellows, Matt Billman and Chris Herndon, were kind enough to add me as a character in the series. Basically, the character is me, except that I've been bitten by a gruesome zombie critter and am in the process of becoming a mind-chomping nasty, myself, as the series progresses.
